OAKLAND COLISEUM {OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA}

Front Row Fun With the A's!

We kicked off our A's experience with a trip to the Championship Plaza! We've heard this is the place to be before the game. The plaza was full of die hard fans, food, lawn games and good times. We picked up some Rita's Ice Custard, played a round of Connect Four and enjoyed the vibes. After an hour or so, we headed into the game.

We were able to spring for front row seats, which was a very new experience for these two budget baseballers. We were a bit bummed that the leg room in the front row was tight for us two gals and their was no cup holder for our drinks.

No cupholder and tight legroom aside, we did enjoy getting to watch the pitchers warm-up. There were 5 pitchers changes during our game so we got a lot of action in our seats.

You guys know our favorite thing to do at stadiums is eat! We were shocked at how many options there were for food and drinks in the stadium. I picked up pizza speciality stand and Lauren sprung for the chicken strips, tots and nacho cheese... because why not. The food was a solid 6/10, did the job but left us wanting more.

The BudLight Ritas always do they trick! We were very happy to learn that The Coliseum has it's own Budweiser Brew House stacked full of Buds, BudLights and our faves, Ritas. Lauren went a little crazy and tried the grape flavor, it was delicious. If you visit The Coliseum, the Budweiser Brew House near section 129 does $4 Buds during the 4th inning.

One highlight of our trip was getting a picture on the Jumbotron! You can see us third picture from the left. As you can see, the stands were pretty empty during our game so perhaps there weren't that many pictures to choose from BUT we were excited all the same :)

In keeping with Stadium Sweep tradition, we visited a section Information Services in section 134 for our first time certificates and pins!

Another highlight of the game of us were these "bobble head" men! They visited us a few times throughout the game to toss beads, run relay races and provide mega laughs. We had such a great time cheering for and getting to know these bobbleheads.

We were glad we got to see the 'Holy Toledo' sign light up in the bottom of the eighth during the A's comeback!

Overall this stadium was chill, the food & drink options and bobbleheads were the highlights. We felt overall the stadium lacked energy and originality.
